Hi! I’m Lindy.

I’m a writer, MFA grad, and Tech content marketing strategist.

I was researching and writing before I knew these were skills you could grow up and get paid for.

As a kid I loved books like the Dear America series. Reading one of these books always led me back to the library to find more books on a related historical period, which led to asking to go to museums, and then I’d write about it all after in one of my Lisa Frank notebooks on my blow up couch when I got home.

This obsessive interest ➡ side quest ➡ research ➡ write about it loop hasn’t really changed over time.

At Oregon State I studied communications and journalism where I wrote for the local newspaper’s special interests section and a local travel magazine (RIP Cascade Journal). My senior year I got a job copywriting for a local sporting goods company. All of this led to my first real content job post-grad at Zillow Group in Seattle.

While working in tech I kept writing essays and editorial pieces. I also helped with a few branding projects on the side that allowed me to develop new skills to compliment my research and writing like building websites and editing videos. Since then I’ve started creating content on YouTube and Instagram under the name Intellectually Feral.

Ultimately I have always found my purpose in digging into my interests and making things that either resonate with others or that help them connect with and understand new ideas on a deeper level so they can enjoy them too.

That’s something I’ll never stop doing.

When I’m not working

You can usually find me on a trail or at the dog park with my Wolfadoodle, thrifting art at a local shop, Taking care of my houseplants, reading in a cafe, or out being a local tourist exploring and enjoying my city with friends.
